Galaxy Note 3 Tips and Tricks
Still not quite used to that big screen? Try using One-handed mode! This gives you the ability to resize the screen and place it on either side of the phone making it easier to reach the entire screen with one hand. To set this up, go to Settings, Controls, One-handed operation.
If the Galaxy Note 3 is your first smartphone, or you are just looking for a less complicated home screen, Samsung offers an Easy Mode. To enable this, go to Settings, My Device, and select Easy Mode. This gives you a home screen that is much easier to find you way around with bigger icons and it also allows you to customize what icons show up.
Smart Stay is a feature that makes it so the phone screen will stay on as long as you are looking at it. No more having to tap on the screen every few seconds to keep it from turning off. To turn this on, go to Settings, My Device, Smart Screen and select Smart Stay.
The biggest difference in the Note 3 from other phones is the S Pen. This gives you the benefits of writing down notes on your phone easier, selecting multiple files quickly, and even drawing on pictures or screenshots.
If it starts getting cold and you find yourself wearing gloves often, this feature will be a very convenient one to turn on. Go to Settings, Control, Increase touch sensitivity. This will make the touch screen work while you are wearing gloves, or allow you to use something other than your finger, like you car key.
The Galaxy Note 3 comes with a built in IR Blaster, which enables you to use it as a remote control for you TV, and other home entertainment equipment. Go into your apps and open the WatchON app. This allows you to set up multiple devices you want to control with you phone.
