iPad Air Tips and Tricks

Make Phone Calls

With iOS 8, Apple has given the ability to make and receive phone calls from your iPad. The feature is called Continuity. It works with multiple apps including maps, Safari, and the Phone app. To set this up, first, you must make sure both your iPhone and iPad are connected to the same Wi-Fi network and signed in to the same iCloud account. Then go into Settings, FaceTime, and on your phone make sure that iPhone Cellular Calls is enabled, and on your iPad, iPhone Mobile Calls is enabled. Then open your Contacts app on your iPad and tap on the phone icon and it will call that person.

Split Keyboard

Having an iPad can be a great thing. But sometimes typing can be difficult. To make it easier, Apple made it so you can split the keyboard in half, putting each side on either side of the screen. To enable this, when the keyboard is open, tap and hold the Keyboard button at the bottom right of the keyboard. A little menu will pop up, tap Split.

‘Hey Siri’

An added feature in Siri is the ability to say ‘Hey Siri’ and proceed to ask her a question play some music or whatever you want, without having to touch your tablet. Just go into Settings, General, Siri to enable. Although this feature only works if your phone is plugged in.

Guided Access

This feature is especially nice if you have kids that want to use your tablet a lot. This limits access to only one app and you can control what buttons, if any, can be pressed and respond. To enable this, go to Settings, General, Accessibility, Guided Access.

Ipad Air January 17, 2015

I bought the glass protector on the before Christmas sale.  While installing it I was not careful enough and I cracked the glass.  I looked on the website to buy another and found that they provide a Lifetime warranty.  They immediately sent me a replacement which I received and installed yesterday.  It looks great and performs great.  I am back today to buy more glass for our phones.

Amazing price on this product and fast shipping. Gave an average rating because they list items on outside of packaging which gave away the surprise as I bought my girlfriend an iPhone 5 and my Mom a iPad air for Xmas. Worked really hard to keep it a secret but their happy.

I'm a believer! This is the best! February 23, 2014

I was a skeptic until I tried it. I took the plunge when they had a sale and bought the Ipad air back and front protector. It was very easy to apply as long as you follow the direction. I was scared about the water but it wasn't a problem at all. Took me about 10 minutes because I had to wait 5 minutes for the edges on the back like directions said.

I'm buying one for my Iphone
