"So these films work like they should and work (and kinda look) like the zagg invisible shield. The only difference is that this has a less fancier packaging than zagg (and who needs that?) and causes the price to go down to make it cheap. The quality works as it should and the cut outs are dead on. The installation process does involve you making the solution (but it's quite easy) and when its on the screen/back wet, it slides on the ipod so that you can move it into the perfect alignment. The sides are tricky ONLY if you try to stick them when they are wet, but if you let it dry for 15-45min then it will be a breeze to stick. If you do see bubbles (not air bubbles but something like it) don't freak out and redo the installation because it will most likely go away in a couple of hours or days (mine took around 18 hours to cure). As for the texture of the film, its tacky (and of course like zagg's invisible shield). I made my solution with about 1-3oz of water and around a dime-sized amount of mixed dishwasher and hand soap in a small styrofoam plate that is typically used for cakes in birthday partys. There is absolutely no rainbow effect in mine and my best guess is that it might appear if you use to much soap in your home-made solution. The fascinating retina display does not get affected at all by this screen cover. If you're worrying about what it comes shipped in to you, it comes in an envelope just like one where you would get bills; to keep the price low and prevent more money to go into packaging. If you're worrying about if it will fit with your case without making bubbles, it will go on no problem if its a silicon or TPU case, but if its a hard case (and has a lip around the edge) it might make some air bubbles on the sides. Remember, this is only a film that prevents scratches on the actual ipod and does not prevent cracks (or dents) if it falls. Overall, I am very satisfied with the protector film thing and plan to keep it on until I sell my Ipod SCRATCH FREE to keep the retail price somewhat high. I recommend and think everyone should buy this rather than some other big name brand because the quality of the actual films are fantastic and the SAME and have no hard installation process.
